Hertha run rule over Domovchiyski
1.2.08, 01:31 by uefa.com
Bulgarian international striker Valeri Domovchiyski has joined Bundesliga side Hertha BSC Berlin on loan from PFC Levski Sofia until the end of the season. The 21-year-old will look to impress in Germany after playing in the UEFA Champions League group stage with Levski in 2006/07.

Berlin dream
Capped three times for Bulgaria, Domovchiyski has scored 42 goals in 69 league appearances for Levski and is hoping to earn a permanent move to Hertha at the end of the season, saying: "I am looking forward to the Bundesliga and want to establish myself in Berlin." Hertha are 12th in the 18-team Bundesliga while Levski have already abandoned their hopes of a third successive Bulgarian title, training league leaders PFC CSKA Sofia by 13 points at the winter break and lying fourth in the table. Coach Stanimir Stoilov has been off-loading a number of first-team players with a view to rebuilding again to play European football in 2009.

Arguez acquired
Domovchiyski will be joined at Hertha by Bryan Arguez, who has represented the United States at Under-20 level and leaves Major League Soccer side DC United. The 19-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the German club, whose general manager Dieter Hoeness said: "We're pleased to have signed this talented American youth international. He has shown his potential in trial matches and is very mature for a 19-year old."
