Bulgaria's international midfielder Ivailo Yordanov from Sporting Lisbon was voted Bulgaria's Footballer of the Year on Monday. The 30-year-old player has played 42 matches and scored three goals for the national team. Yordanov fought his way back into the Bulgarian team and played at the World Cup finals in France after being diagnosed as suffering from multiple sclerosis last year.

BulgarianHristo Stoitchkov is the only 1994 national squad player besides Jankov and Borimirovto take part in the tomorrow's (i.e., Wednesday's) friendly against Morocco in Casablanca.



The draw for the the quater-finals of the Cup of Bulgaria Ford Moto-Pfoe will take place at the end of January.
Quater-finalists are: Lokomotiv (Sofia), Slavia (Sofia), CSKA (Sofia), Pirin (Blagoevgrad), Spartak (Varna), Levski (Kjustendil), Minjor (Pernik) and Litex (Lovetch).
Quater-finals are to be played in the spring of the next year.
